The Automatic Cut-to-Length (CTL) Machine manufactured by Gagan Engineering Works in Khopoli, Maharashtra is an automated, heavy-duty coil processing line designed for precision flattening, high-speed measuring, and burr-free shearing of metal coils up to 6.0 mm thickness. Built to process Hot Rolled (HR), Cold Rolled (CR), Galvanized Iron (GI), Stainless Steel, and Aluminium coils, the line integrates an automated 10-Ton Hydraulic Decoiler, a 9-roll gear-driven precision leveler, an optical rotary encoder measuring bridge, a heavy mechanical/hydraulic guillotine shear, and a powered exit run-out conveyor. The leveler features 9 high-strength EN31 alloy steel rollers (114 mm diameter, hardened to 50–52 HRC and ground to mirror finish) driven through a heavy-duty distribution gearbox to eliminate coil set, crossbow, and edge wave. Controlled by a centralized Delta/Siemens PLC touchscreen console with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), the line maintains a high cutting length tolerance of ±0.5 mm at line speeds up to 20 meters per minute. Operators can program up to 20 variable batch cut lengths on the touchscreen interface with automated scrap minimization and piece counter displays. Extensively utilized by steel service centers, automotive stamping vendors, electrical panel manufacturers, and PEB fabrication plants across India and overseas.
